Buenos vientos y abrazo grande! Carina y Christophe

Hi Christophe, I think you are in Santander, I also have a Django 770 , you were one of the reasons why I decided to buy the boat. I am right now in the sailing club where you have moored, if you leave the boat it would be my pleasure to buy you a drink. All the best, Angel

Dearest Margaret and Bill,
Happy to hear you are making the most of Tassie summer and the Bass Strait, which deserves its reputation of « beauty and the beast ». Thanks for sharing your bold itineraries – they bring back many amazing, some also quite exciting, memories! Australia with Tasmania remain one of our favourite sailing grounds of this circumnavigation. After we left Down Under, the voyage has become mostly about clocking the miles, first in the Indian and now in the Atlantic ocean – it is a matter of taste, but we prefer coastal cruising and miss it quite a bit. On the bright side – there is nothing like a long passage to make us appreciate a landfall! We send you many greetings from the gorgeous Island of St Helena in the heart of the Atlantic, 1700 nautical miles from Cape Town in South Africa, which very recently took L’Envol 12 days and 13 hours to reach. Next leg to Brazil promises to be just as long but maybe somewhat slower – we will soon see! Fair winds friends, look after each other and your good ship Patience!

Dear Mike, thanks for your newsy comment, great to hear from you! Indeed, pity we didn't have your contact before to catch up before departure. But the world is round and small, hope we meet again, many greetings to the TYC mob! We are in Cape Town - our last stop in South Africa. L'Envol is now waiting for the breeze to extract her from Table Bay and set sail towards St Helena Island.

Hello you mad buggers , looks like you are still going strong & enjoying yourselves.
You rushed off without saying goodbye , I was going to give u a set of world charts ,however u are doing well without old fashion nonsence . My yacht is SERIDA a 40 VanDe Stad . Ronny Chandler retired recently but still cant keep him out of the yard.
I have noticed a few changes in the time I have lived at Greens Beach : the predominant wind is gradually moving around from NW to WSW, & becoming more intense : the summers are later each year starting now in December : I am catching tropical fish which are starting to out muscle the local natural fish : also the wind dirrection is changing the sand movement which in tern is blocking the shipping channels .
All interesting stuff but what can any one person do . Nice to talk to u again hope I hear or see u both again one day . Regards Mike Boyden .

I have a 30 foot boat that i am setting up for some travels, and you are a huge inspiration to me.
